As part of the preparation for the upcoming District Level Inter-School Athletics Meet 2026, the office of the District Sports Officer (DSO), East Jaintia Hills District on April 20, conducted a comprehensive screening and document verification programme for participating students from different schools across East Jaintia Hills District with the objective of ensuring the overall health, safety, eligibility, etc. of athletes at the Indoor Stadium of Dkhiah East Village, East Jaintia Hills District.
Alongside the physical screening, verification of essential documents such as age proof, school identity and registration details was also carried out to ensure that all participants meet the prescribed eligibility criteria and it also facilitated the proper categorization of athletes into appropriate age groups and event categories in order to maintain transparency, fair competition, etc. among participants.
The District Level Inter-School Athletics Meet 2026 is schelduled to be held on the 29th, 30th April and 1st May 2026 at Teilang Playground, Dkhiah West East Jaintia Hills District.
