
The Federation of Industry & Commerce of North Eastern Region (FINER) is set to organise the North East India Infrastructure Summit & Exhibition (NEIINFRA Summit) 2026 on June 15-16, 2026, at the Lariti Performing Centre, Mawkasiang, Shillong, with the Government of Meghalaya as the Host State and Build India (an organisation focussed on promoting infrastructure development, innovation, and sustainable growth across India) as Co-Organiser. This was announced in a Press Meet held in Shillong, today.
Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Union Minister of Roads & Highways will inaugurate the Summit as the Chief Guest.
Bringing together all eight Northeastern states, namely Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura, along with representatives from eight Union Ministries, the summit is expected to be one of the largest infrastructure-focused gatherings in Northeast India.
Highlighting the significance of this Summit in driving economic growth in the North East Region, Shri Sanjay Goyal IAS, Chair of Organising Committee remarked, “The event will serve as a premier platform for policy dialogue, investment promotion, business networking and knowledge exchange. There are three key pillars for the future of infrastructure: People, Prosperity and Planning, and Meghalaya proudly welcomes sector leaders. Together, let us build a stronger, more connected Northeast India for a Viksit Bharat.”
Speaking about the upcoming summit, Mr. Bajrang Lohia, President, FINER, said, “The North East India Infrastructure Summit is envisioned as a platform to shape the future of infrastructure in the region. With Meghalaya as the host state, the summit will provide an opportunity for knowledge exchange, collaboration and investment discussions that can contribute to sustainable economic growth and improved connectivity across Northeast India.”
The two-day summit is expected to be one of the largest infrastructure-focused gatherings in Northeast India, bringing together over 800 delegates, 300 senior government officials, representatives from eight Union Ministries, industry leaders, investors, infrastructure developers, public sector undertakings, entrepreneurs and development stakeholders from across the country.
Mr. Rajeev Agarwal, Vice President FINER, stated, “We believe the event will serve as a catalyst for unlocking new opportunities, strengthening public-private collaboration and advancing sustainable regional development.”
The participating ministries include Road Transport & Highways, Civil Aviation, Commerce & Industry, DPIIT, Communications & DoNER, Food Processing Industries, Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Tourism, and other key infrastructure stakeholders.
The summit will feature high-level discussions, 8+ Summit sessions, networking opportunities and a large exhibition spread showcasing emerging solutions and innovations, technologies, MSMEs and Startups.
Key focus sectors include Roads & Highways, Tourism Infrastructure, Industrial Infrastructure, Digital Infrastructure, Aviation & Airports, and Ports & Waterways.
Shri Conrad K. Sangma, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Meghalaya, as Guest of Honour has invited Several Union Ministers, Chief Ministers from the Northeastern states, senior policymakers, industry experts and business leaders are also expected to participate in the summit.
Knowledge partners for the summit include IIM Shillong, HVS Anarock and Invest India bringing expertise in knowledge papers about these sectors.
