The Deputy Commissioner & Chairman (CMYDS) Chief Minister Youth Development Scheme, West Jaintia Hills District, Jowai has informed that the West Jaintia Hills District Chief Minister Youth Development Scheme Committee invites application from registered organisation for financial Assistance under Chief Minister’s Youth Development Scheme, 2021-22 & 2023-24.

The objective of the scheme is to provide creative outlets to the youth for positively channelling their energies and to strengthen the spirit of good citizenship, service to society and healthy social attitudes and orientation. To strengthen the commitment of youth to nation building, national unity and integration. To develop cooperative attitudes and working relationships between the administration and youth. To develop the aptitudes and skills of youth and to turn them towards productive employment. To increase awareness of youth and motivate them for social economic development.

The Scheme extends financial aid to the following registered entities:

Societies and Cooperatives, Voluntary Organisations, Sports/ Youth/ Cultural Clubs and Associations, not for profit organisations, Socio Cultural Clubs, Alumni Associations, Community level youth institutions/ organisations/ groups, Registered Sports Associations and Entities, District Level State Government Departments.

Permissible Activities/ Programmes under the Scheme:

Organisation of District level Youth Festivals, conduct of cleanliness drives in localities in the district, Organisation of Youth workshops/ seminars, Organisation of industry specific exposure trips, Organisation of youth career counselling fairs etc. Organisation of sports events and tournaments, Organisation of Chief Minister’s Tournament/ Cup in various sporting disciplines, Organisation of ingenious sports competitions, Organisation of community regeneration volunteering programmes, Organisation of financial literacy workshops and seminars, Organisation of digital literacy workshops and programmes, Organisation of mental wellbeing seminars/ workshops/ counselling programmes, Organisation of campaigns and programmes in line with the Sports Authority of India’s Fit India Campaign,  Organisation of Neighbourhood youth parliaments, Tournament/ Competition/ events participation, Procurement of sport equipment and consumables, undertaking minor repair works sports infrastructure.

Documents to be attached along with the application are Valid Registration Certificate, first page of Bank Passbook along with IFSC code of the bank and detailed estimate.
