The Hon’ble Speaker, Shri Thomas A Sangma, has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise of former legislator Shri H. Britainwar Dan.
Fondly known as Ma Dan, Shri Dan was elected from the Nartiang Constituency for three consecutive terms and also served as a Cabinet Minister. Additionally, he held the position of Leader of the Opposition.
He was also elected twice as MDC to the Jaintia Hills District Council and was also Chief Executive Member.
