ADVERTISEMENT FOR STATE COMMON ENTRANCE EXAMINATION (CEE) FOR B.Sc. NURSING COURSE SESSION 2024-25

The Director of Health Services (MI), Government of Meghalaya invites Online Application for appearing the Common Entrance Examination (CEE) from interested candidates who desire to pursue admission B.Sc. Nursing Course in State Government Quota and in Private Institution within the State.

  1. Candidates can apply for CEE – 2024 through the “Online” mode only on the website www.meghealth.gov.in
  2. The Application Form in any other mode will not be accepted.
  3. Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate.
  4. Applicants must register themselves in the Online Portal, if previously not registered. Those who are already registered may login directly using their registered email id and password.
  5. When Candidates register/ submitting the fees, they have to enter the OTP received on their registered Mobile Number.
  6. Candidates must strictly follow the instructions given in the Advertisement and in the website. Candidates not complying with the instructions shall be summarily disqualified.
  7. Candidates must ensure that the e-mail address and Mobile Number provided in the Online Application Form are their own and/or Parents/Guardians only as all information/ communication will be sent through e-mail on the registered e-mail address.
  8. Only the candidates obtaining the desired percentile stipulated by the conducting authority will be considered as eligible candidates for admission B.Sc. Nursing course in State Government Quota or in Private Institution within the State.

SCHEME OF EXAMINATION

  1. Syllabus of the Examination – as notified by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) for CEE – 2024. The Question Paper will be based purely on the given current syllabus:

  • Mode of Examination – The CEE is a Pen & Paper-based Test, to be answered on the specially designed machine gradable OMR sheet using Ball Point Pen. Moreover tampering with the OMR at any stage will lead to declaration of candidates as unsuccessful.
  • Pattern of the Examination –
  • The Maximum marks for the Written Examination will be 100 marks.
  • Questions will be in Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Each question will carry 1 mark.
  • There will be NO NEGATIVE MARKING for attempt of questions.
  • Only one circle should be darkened while attempting a correct answer. If more than 1 circle is darkened for the answer of a question, it will be deemed as incorrect.
  • Candidates are to use only BLACK BALL POINT PEN for darkening the OMR Sheet.
  • Medium of the Question Papers – The CEE will be in English medium.
  • Centres: There will be two separate Centres for writing the Examination, i.e. at Shillong and Tura.

ELGIBILITY AND QUALIFICATION

  1. Only candidates who are bonafide citizens of India are eligible to apply for appearing the CEE.
  2. Age: Minimum age for applying will be 17 years as on 31st December 2024. The maximum age limit is 35 years.
  3. Minimum Educational Qualification –
  4. Candidate with Science who have passed the qualifying 12th Standard examination (10+2) and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together and passed in English individually.
  5. Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government having Science and English only.
  6. English is a compulsory subject in 10+2 for being eligible for applying the CEE for admission to B.Sc. (Nursing).
  7. Other essential criteria –
  8. Colour blind candidates are eligible provided that colour corrective contact lens and spectacles are worn by such candidates.
  9. Candidates shall be medically fit.
  10. Married candidates are also eligible for applying.
  11. Reservation for disability – as per INC guidelines.
