
Minister of Health & Family Welfare Wailadmiki Shylla on March 6, inaugurated a Digital Learning Centre at the District Library, Mynthong, West Jaintia Hills District, Jowai, in the presence of the Deputy Commissioner Abhinav Kumar Singh, The initiative aims to enhance access to online learning resources and digital education for the youths of the district.
The Centre has been equipped with 18 computers with high-speed internet connectivity and has been funded under convergence with CM Catalytic Fund -Promoting Digital Learning and Inclusive Access to knowledge. The facility is open free of cost to all registered members of the library, providing digital access to students, aspirants and members of the community.
Inaugurating the Digital Learning Centre, the Minister stated that the facility would be a blessing for the youths of the district, promoting a culture of reading and supporting their future aspirations
The Office of the Deputy Commissioner has also collaborated with SPM Institute, an IAS coaching center to support the Super 30 students selected last year, who will be able to access their coaching lessons through the digital learning Centre.
Assistant Commissioner Smt. E Ch. Momin, MCS, Assistant Commissioner Shri. F.Passah, MCS and District Librarian W H Gsasah were also present on the occasion.
