The Deputy Commissioner (Excise), East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat in a press release issued has informed that in view of the General Election to the Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council (JHADC),2025 and in order to ensure peaceful, free and fair conduct of the election in the entire area of East Jaintia Hills District, Dry Days have been declared on 21st February 2025 being the day of poll and 24th February 2025 being the day of counting of votes. All Wholesalers, IMFL retailers, Bars, Canteens and Out-stills shall remain closed in the entire area of East Jaintia Hills District on the above- mentioned dates.Any violation of the order will be viewed seriously, added the order of the Deputy Commissioner (Excise).
