The IIM Shillong Foundation for Incubation and Entrepreneurship (IIMSFIE) has commenced the 3rd edition of the Summer School Bootcamp for Aspiring Young Entrepreneurs of Northeast India 2025 at the IIM Shillong campus. The five-day immersive program will run from May 13 to May 17, 2025.
This year, the Bootcamp proudly welcomes 59 dynamic participants representing all eight Northeastern states. This diverse cohort includes students, early-stage startup founders, and aspiring entrepreneurs — all driven by a shared vision to innovate, lead, and create sustainable impact in the region.
The Bootcamp is being facilitated by a robust lineup of mentors, including early-stage startup founders from the Northeast, seasoned entrepreneurs and industry experts from across India, and esteemed faculty members from IIM Shillong. Together, they aim to provide participants with a rich blend of theoretical knowledge and practical insights.
Designed to spark entrepreneurial thinking, the program focuses on creative problem-solving and hands-on exposure to the startup ecosystem. Through expert-led sessions, mentorship, and collaborative activities, the Bootcamp offers participants a unique platform to transform ideas into actionable ventures. During the inaugural session, Prof. Rohit Dwivedi, Director of IIMSFIE, emphasized the immense potential of the Northeast and underscored the importance of youth-led innovation to address regional challenges. Prof. Naliniprava Tripathy, Director (i/c) of IIM Shillong, inspired the participants with her keynote address, encouraging them to view challenges as opportunities. She also reaffirmed the institute’s commitment to nurturing entrepreneurial talent across the region.
