The Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority has organised the National Lok Adalat on the 14th of September, 2024 in all the districts of the State of Meghalaya, under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA).
In the National Lok Adalat, 776 Pre-Litigation cases and 409 pending cases were taken up for settlement. Total number of cases taken up was 1185, of which 292 cases were settled for a total amount of `1,50,43,766/- (Rupees One crore fifty lakhs forty three thousand seven hundred and sixty six) only.
