The Meghalaya Medical Services Association (MMSA) expresses its profound
concern over the recent heinous & brutal crime against a lady doctor in Kolkata. In solidarity
with the All-India Federation of Government Doctors Association (AIFGDA), the members
or MMSA are observing a Black Badge Protest on the 16th of August 2024.
By wearing black badges, they stand united with doctors across the country
to condemn this act of violence and to call for immediate justice. The safety and security of
healthcare possessional are paramount and such incidents must not go unaddressed.
The MMSA urges the authorities to take stringent action against the perpetrators and
to ensure a safer working environment for all medical professionals.
