The Department of Health & Family Welfare will be conducting the National Immunization Day (NID) 2025 under the Pulse Polio Programme in the East Khasi Hills District on 15th of December, 2025, which will be followed by two days of house-to-house search activities. All children below the age of 5 years will be given oral polio drops and all efforts will be made to ensure that no child is left unimmunized.
All parents are requested to bring their children below the age of 5 years to the designated booths in their respective villages/localities for vaccination. The Health & Family Welfare Department also requested the headmen, NGOs, church leaders and community organizations to extend their cooperation to ensure the success of the programme.
