The Office of the Sub-Divisional Officer (Supply), Amlarem Civil Sub-Division, Amlarem would like to inform that as per the National Food Security Act (NFSA) 2013, Government employees do not fall under the criteria for holding a Ration Card and get subsidized to ration benefits.
In this regard and as per instructions of Government of India all Government employees including Deficit and Adhoc Teachers both in urban and rural areas having in their possession an NFSA Ration Card (PHH or AAY) are requested to surrender their Ration Card so as to make those available for the genuine poor and needy families, Labourers, Physical handicapped as such possible beneficiaries.
The Ration Card should be surrendered to the Office of the Sub-Divisional Officer (Supply), Amlarem Civil Sub-Division, on or before 30th April, 2025. Non compliance to the above notice within the deadline will be dealt with as per Government Rules.
In another notice, the Deputy Commissioner (Supply), East Khasi Hills District has directed all the Government employees or any member of the family, including Deficit and Adhoc school teachers, both urban and rural areas, having in their possession an NFSA Ration Card (PHH or AAY), to surrender their Ration Cards to the office of the Deputy Commissioner (Supply), East Khasi Hills District within the 30th of April, 2025 positively, since they are not entitled as per the parameters for inclusion under NFSA. Non-compliance, if detected, will be dealt as per the provision of the law.
