On 23.02.2026, while conducting Naka checking at Umkiang Out Post, at around 11.30 PM one Alto K10 – black colour B/R No. AS 11 R 1523 coming from Silchar was intercepted.
During the search, 17 (seven teen) numbers of soap boxes containing 204 grams of suspected Heroin from recovered from the vehicle, which was seized as per procedure.
Two persons were arrested in this regard; Their details:
1. Shri. Suhal Ahmed (20 Yrs) S/o Tajim Uddin, R/o. Tarapur, Kalain, Cachar District, Assam – 788815 2. Shri. Aktar Hussain (37 Yrs) S/o. (L) Abdul Galil Laskar R/o. Kali Nagar, Shiv Narainpur, Cachar District, Assam – 788804.
