The Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority, under the patronage and guidance of the Hon’ble Mr. Justice I. P. Mukerji, Chief Justice, High Court of Meghalaya and Patron-in-Chief, Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority, and the supervision of Hon’ble Mr. Justice H. S. Thangkhiew, Judge, High Court of Meghalaya and Executive Chairman, Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority, organized the National Lok Adalat on the 8th of March, 2025 in all the districts of the State of Meghalaya, under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA).
In the National Lok Adalat, 737 Pre-Litigation cases and 328 pending cases were taken up for settlement. The total number of cases taken up was 1065, of which 143 cases were successfully settled for a total amount of ₹75,18,326/- (Rupees Seventy-five Lakhs Eighteen Thousand Three Hundred and Twenty-Six Only).
