Together with the rest of the state, Baghmara also celebrated the 63rd Teacher’s Day today at United Baptist Secondary School Hall Baghmara.
The Chief Guest of the occasion Smt Weena Yancey Momin, BDO Baghmara handed over the certificates and cash awards to some of the District Awardees viz, Smt Quilline M Sangma, Headmistress of Rangku Memorial Girls Secondary School, Shri Phurison N Sangma, Asst. Teacher of Chokpot Government UP School and also to Shri Sothin G Momin, Headmaster of Namchapara Government LP School. While Shri Sengban Marak received Best scout master award and Smt Sengchira Momin received Best Guide Captain award.
During the function Mr Shubham Sarkar who secured Top 18th position in MBOSE SSLC Board exam 2024 was also presented. It may be mentioned that this is for the first time the student from South Garo Hills has secured such a top position in SSLC examination result 2024.
