
To create awareness about Tuberculosis, a street play was performed by health workers at Iawthymme, Jowai as part of National Tuberculosis Elimination programme. The play aimed to educate the public about the causes, symptoms, prevention and treatment of TB, emphasizing the importance of early detection and adherence to medication.
The office of the District Tuberculosis Control, West Jaintia Hills also conducted a miking campaign to spread awareness about tuberculosis, the vehicle travelled throughout Jowai Town, broadcasting messages to educate the public about the disease.
Additionally, pamphlets containing information about TB were also distributed to ensure that people had access to essential knowledge on combating the disease.
