The Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District has informed the electors of 6-Sohryngkham District Council Constituency, 7-Mawkynrew District Council Constituency, 8-Nongkrem District Council Constituency, 9-Lyngkyrdem-Laitkroh District Council Constituency, 10-Nongshken District Council Constituency, 12-Mawsynram District Council Constituency, 14-Mylliem District Council Constituency, 15-Laban-Mawprem District Council Constituency, 16-Nongthymmai District Council Constituency, 17-Laitumkhrah-Malki District Council Constituency, 18-Mawkhar-Pynthorumkhrah District Council Constituency, 19-Jaiaw District Council Constituency, 20-Mawlai District Council Constituency, 21-Mawphlang-Diengiei District Council Constituency and 22-Nongspung-Sohiong District Council Constituency, that the Electoral Rolls in Draft has been prepared in accordance with Rule 129 (1) of the Assam and Meghalaya Autonomous District (Constitution of District Councils) Rule 1951 (Parts I, II & III), as amended by the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council. A copy thereof is available in the office of the Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District and at the office of all the Electoral Registration Officers/Assistant Electoral Registration Officers concerned during office hours.
The qualifying date for preparation of Electoral Roll is 18 years and above as on 01-01-2025.
Any person having claim for the inclusion of a name or any objections to the inclusion of name or any objection to particular in any entry or any objection against him/her name being struck off should be lodged with the office of the Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District and in the above mentioned offices during office hours on any working day with effect from 13-01-2025 to 22-01-2025 in the prescribed format from the above offices.Claims and Objections filed by such person if any will be summarily disposed of on or before 24-01-2025 at the identified locations.
The Final Electoral Roll of the District Council Constituency will be published at the aforesaid place (s) on 27-01-2025.
