A blood donation and awareness programme was held today at Kiang Nangbah Government College, Jowai aiming to encourage students to donate blood and raise awareness about the importance of Blood donation.
The event was organised by Kyrmen Foundation in collaboration with Hawahoi Socio Development Society, Kiang Nangbah Government College students Union and Civil Blood Bank, Jowai.
Dr. P. Shylla, Senior Medical Office, Incharge Civil Blood Bank, Jowai emphasized the unparalleled impact of Blood donation, stating ‘The most precious of all the Charity work is Blood donation-it saves life directly’. Dr. Shylla thanked the organizations and all voluntary Blood donors for their life-saving gift.
A medical team led by Dr. P.Shylla from Jowai Blood Bank carried out the clinical activities. 20 donors registered out of which 15 donated today.
Dr. Easter Meena Blah, Principal Kiang Nangbah College, Jowai, Smt. Semi Khongthiang, Secretary Kyrmen Foundation, Shri. Fedrick Synnah, Hawahoi Socio Development Society, Shri. Evermore Rymbai President, KNGCSU also spoke on the occasion highlighting the critical role of blood donation
