NIFT Shillong to Celebrate Inauguration and 12 th Convocation Ceremony on October25, 2024

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Shillong
is thrilled to announce the official inauguration of its permanent campus on October 25. This significant occasion will also mark the 12 th convocation ceremony for the
graduating class of 2024, celebrating the achievements of our talented students.
We are honoured to have Shri Giriraj Singh, the Hon’ble Union Minister of Textiles,
Government of India, as our Chief Guest for this momentous event. The Hon’ble Chief
Minister of Meghalaya, Shri. Conrad K Sangma and  Shri Pabitra Margherita, the
Hon’ble Minister of State for External Affairs and Textiles, Government of India, as our
esteemed Guest of Honour. The inauguration and convocation ceremonies will be hosted
by Ms. Tanu Kashyap IAS, Director General of NIFT, alongside Mr. Shankar K. Jha,
Director of NIFT Shillong. All the respected dignitaries will guide us through this celebratory
event, which will be held at the NIFT Shillong permanent campus in Umsawli Mawpat at
11:00 AM on 25 th October 2024.
This landmark event not only represents the growth and development of fashion education in
the region but also signifies NIFT’s commitment to nurturing creativity and innovation in the
field of fashion and textiles.
