The semi-final matches of the Women Senior Football category at the 6th Meghalaya Games 2025 were action-packed, that dribbled across the lush green turf of Kiang Nangbah Stadium, Jowai, showcasing remarkable skill and determination. In the first match, held in the early hours of the morning, Ri Bhoi District triumphed over West Jaintia Hills District with a convincing 2-0 victory. The goals were scored by Daphisha Syngkli (Jersey No. 15) and Pynibha Rangthaluh (Jersey No. 03), sealing their place in the final for two consecutive seasons of the Meghalaya Games now.
In the second semi-final, East Khasi Hills District edged past South West Khasi Hills District in a thrilling 2-1 encounter. Sanfida Nongrum (Jersey No. 10) was the star of the match, scoring both goals for East Khasi Hills, while Darishisha Kharlyngdoh (Jersey No. 2) managed to score for South West Khasi Hills. Ultimately, East Khasi Hills emerged victorious, securing their spot in the final showdown.
