The United Nations has declared 2025 as the International Year of Cooperatives. In line with this, the Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India has issued directives to all the States and Union Territories to celebrate this occasion throughout the year.
As part of the yearlong celebration, the Cooperation Department in collaboration with Raj Bhavan, Shillong, the Meghalaya Cooperative Apex Bank Ltd., Shillong and the Meghalaya Basin Management Agency (MBMA) will be organising a special event at Raj Bhavan, Shillong on the 14th and 15th of August, 2025 through displaying and sales of Cooperative Societies products which will be allowed for public participation only from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM on both the days.
