
A distinguished delegation from the Karnataka Legislative Assembly’s Committee on Public Undertakings called on the Hon’ble Speaker of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly, Shri Thomas A. Sangma, today. The meeting marked an important moment of inter-state engagement, fostering dialogue and strengthening institutional cooperation between the two legislatures.
The Karnataka delegation was led by Sri Basavaraj Neelappa Shivannanavar, Member of the Legislative Assembly and Chairman of the Committee. He was accompanied by Sri Araga Jnanendra, Sri M.Y. Patil, and Sri Allamaprabhu Patil, all Members of the Legislative Assembly, along with Smt Umashree and Smt Bharathi Shetti, both Members of the Legislative Council. Also accompanying the delegation was Smt Premalatha Patil, spouse of Sri Allamaprabhu Patil.
Supporting the delegation were officers and staff of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, including Sri Harisha, Deputy Secretary, and Smt H. Sudha, Reporter.
The interaction with Shri Thomas A. Sangma provided a meaningful platform for the exchange of insights on governance practices and public undertakings, thereby reinforcing the spirit of cooperative federalism and legislative collaboration.
The meeting was also attended by Hon’ble Deputy Speaker of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly, Shri Timothy D. Shira, along with senior officials including Shri Malthus S. Sangma, Secretary; Shri Raja Kharpuri, Deputy Secretary; and Shri Aurelius Warlarpih, OSD to the Speaker.
