The Government of Meghalaya is inviting applications from eligible students who are permanent residents of Meghalaya for the Chief Minister’s Meghalaya Hospitality Scholarship Scheme – 2025 for admission to the 3-year Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) course in Hospitality and Hotel Administration Course at the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Shillong, for the academic session 2025–2026.

        Under this scheme, a total of fifty-five scholarships will be awarded with one seat allotted to each Block of the State. The scheme is open to permanent residents of Meghalaya with a valid Domicile Certificate who have successfully completed Class XII (10+2) or an equivalent examination with English as one of the subjects. In cases where more than one applicant applies from the same Block, preference will be given to the candidate securing the highest marks in Class XII, and in case of a tie, preference will be given to the elder candidate. Final selection of candidates will be made on the basis of a District-wise Online Examination.

     The scholarship will provide a 100 percent Tuition  Fee Waiver for the entire 3-year B.Sc Course while all other expenses such as hostel, food, uniform, examination fees and incidental fees will be borne by the candidate. In case a candidate discontinues the course, the scholarship will be withdrawn and any fees already paid will be recoverable.

Eligible candidates may collect and must submit their application forms to their respective Block Development Officer (BDO) along with all the required documents including Aadhaar Card, Domicile Certificate, Class X & Class XII Mark Sheets, Family Income Certificate (latest, within 6 months), Recommendation from the Block Development Officer (BDO), Scheduled Tribe Certificate, 2 passport-size photographs and Bank Account details.

      The last date for submission of applications is on 22nd September 2025. Shortlisted candidates will be duly notified to appear for the District-wise Online Examination.
