The High Commissioner of Bangladesh to India, H.E. M. Riaz Hamidullah, on Thursday paid a courtesy call on the Hon’ble Speaker of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly, Shri Thomas A. Sangma.
The High Commissioner was accompanied by Mr. Zikrul Hasan Fahad, Assistant High Commissioner and Head of Mission, Guwahati.
During the meeting, the Speaker presented H.E. Hamidullah with a coffee table book and traditional gifts of Meghalaya as a gesture of goodwill and appreciation.
Also present on the occasion were Deputy Speaker Shri Limison D. Sangma, Secretary of the Assembly Shri Malthus S. Sangma, Adviser (Legislation) Dr. Andrew Simons, along with other officials of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly.
The interaction was held in a cordial and constructive atmosphere, underscoring the spirit of mutual respect and continued engagement between Bangladesh and the State of Meghalaya.
