The Special Intensive Revision (SIR), 2026 in East Jaintia Hills District continues to make excellent progress. As on 25th July, 2026, 1,03,292 Enumeration Forms have been distributed, achieving an overall coverage of 98.92% of the district’s 1,04,417 registered electors.
The digitization process has also advanced significantly, with 90,107 Enumeration Forms (86.30%) digitized. Verification by Booth Level Officers (BLOs) is progressing simultaneously to ensure an accurate and error-free electoral roll.
Assembly Constituency-wise Progress
- 5-Sutnga Saipung (ST) – 51,917 Enumeration Forms distributed (99.92%) and 44,097 Enumeration Forms digitized (84.87%).
- 6-Khliehriat (ST) – 51,375 Enumeration Forms distributed (97.93%) and 46,010 Enumeration Forms digitized (87.70%).

Significant progress has also been achieved in the mapping process, with 28,973 electors (27.75%) mapped as Self and 57,887 electors (55.44%) mapped as Progeny. In addition, 83 cases have been verified as No Action Required, while 87 cases have been marked as Uncollectable after due field verification.
Overall, 4,161 electors (3.98%) have been identified as Uncollectable, comprising:
- Death: 1,971 electors (1.89%)
- Untraceable/Absent: 1,258 electors (1.20%)
- Permanently Shifted: 518 electors (0.50%)
- Already Enrolled Elsewhere: 395 electors (0.38%)
Appeal to the Public
With only 4 days remaining before the **House-to-House Verification concludes on 29th July, 2026, the District Election Administration has intensified field operations to ensure that every eligible elector is covered. The District Election Officer, East Jaintia Hills, earnestly appeals to all eligible electors who have not yet received or submitted their Enumeration Forms to complete the process immediately. Electors are requested to contact their respective Booth Level Officer (BLO) or visit the SIR Help Desk at the Office of the Deputy Commissioner for any assistance.
The Administration also calls upon Dorbar Shnongs, Village Authorities, community leaders, Self-Help Groups, youth organisations and the general public to actively support this important exercise by encouraging every eligible elector in their locality to complete the enumeration process before the deadline.
