It is hereby brought to the notice of all individual and institutional Arms License holders under the jurisdiction of East Khasi Hills District that all firearms licenses that have completed their valid tenure and have not yet been renewed must be regularized immediately in accordance with the provisions of the Arms Act, 1959 and the Arms Rules, 2016.
All concerned license holders are directed to submit their applications for renewal in the prescribed Form A-3 along with the required documents in Room 319, Arms Branch, O/o the Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District, Shillong on or before the 20ᵗʰ September, 2026.
License holders are hereby informed that continued possession of firearms after expiry of license is unlawful and liable for legal action.
Failure to comply with the above directions will result in appropriate action under the Arms Act, 1959 and Arms Rules, 2016, including cancellation of license.
