The Special Intensive Revision (SIR), 2026 in East Jaintia Hills District continues to make encouraging progress. As on 22nd July, 2026, 1,01,790 Enumeration Forms have been distributed, achieving an overall coverage of 97.48% of the district’s 1,04,417 registered electors. The digitization process has also reached 78.57%.

The Assembly Constituency-wise progress is as follows:

  • 5-Sutnga Saipung (ST) – 51,845 Enumeration Forms distributed (99.79%); 76.87% digitized.
  • 6-Khliehriat (ST) – 49,945 Enumeration Forms distributed (95.20%); 80.25% digitized.

With only 7 days remaining before the House-to-House Verification concludes on 29th July, 2026, the District Election Administration has intensified field visits to ensure that every eligible elector is covered.

Appeal to Electors

The District Election Officer, East Jaintia Hills, urges all eligible electors who have not yet received or submitted their Enumeration Forms to complete the process immediately. Electors are requested to contact their respective Booth Level Officer (BLO) or the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) and submit the duly filled Enumeration Form along with the required supporting documents without delay.
