The Office of the Assistant Executive Engineer, PWD (Roads), Shillong ‘B’ Sub-Division, will resume construction of the Aqueduct Channel at Jeep Stand (Paltan Bazaar), Shillong, with effect from September 10, 2026, until completion of the project.
In view of the construction work, a traffic regulation will be enforced for vehicles proceeding from Paltan Bazaar towards Jeep Stand.
A “NO-ENTRY” restriction will be imposed at Paltan Bazaar near Suman Transport for vehicles proceeding from Chowkhani Building Junction towards Jeep Stand via Paltan Bazaar.
The general public has been requested to cooperate with the traffic police and follow alternate routes during the construction period. The authorities have expressed regret for the inconvenience caused.
