This is to inform the general public that the newborn baby girl
found abandoned at Pther area (Umpleng) under East Jaintia Hills District on April 29, 2026
at around 9:30 PM is presently under the care and protection of the Child Welfare Committee
(CWC), East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat.
Any person or relatives having information regarding the identity or background of
the child are requested to come forward and contact the office of the District Child Protection
Unit(DCPU), East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat or the office of the Child Welfare
Committee, East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat at Contact No. 03655-295014 within 60
days from the date of publication of this notice, failing which the child will be declared
legally free for adoption as per the provisions of law.
