The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), West Jaintia Hills District, conducted an Awareness Campaign-cum-Poster Painting on the topic “Ragging” under the NALSA JAGRITI Scheme, 2025, with the theme “Empowered Youth, Stronger India.” The programme was held on August 21, at the North East India Mission Association (NEIMA) Orphanage Children Home, Sahsniang, West Jaintia Hills District.
During the programme, Shri. F. B. Passah, Assistant Legal Aid Defense Counsel, delivered an informative speech on the topic of Ragging, highlighting its harmful effects and the importance of maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all students and young persons.
The awareness session was followed by a poster-painting activity, in which the children actively participated and expressed their understanding of the issue of ragging through creative artwork. At the end of the programme, prizes were distributed to the winners in recognition of their outstanding participation and creativity.
