The Special Intensive Revision (SIR), 2026 in East Jaintia Hills District continues to make remarkable progress. As on 24th July, 2026 (3:57 PM), 1,03,013 Enumeration Forms have been distributed, achieving an overall coverage of 98.66% of the district’s 1,04,417 registered electors.
The digitization process has also progressed significantly, with 87,714 Enumeration Forms (84.00%) digitized. Of the total electors, 3,690 cases (3.53%) have been identified as uncollectable due to reasons such as death, permanent shifting, untraceable/absent electors, already enrolled elsewhere, and other valid grounds.

Out of 3,690 uncollectable cases (3.53%), the reasons are as follows:
- Death: 1,781 electors (1.71%)
- Untraceable/Absent: 1,101 electors (1.05%)
- Permanently Shifted: 430 electors (0.41%)
- Already Enrolled Elsewhere: 359 electors (0.34%)
- Other Reasons: 19 electors (0.02%)
The District Election Administration continues to intensify field verification and digitization efforts to ensure that every eligible elector is covered before the House-to-House Verification concludes on 29th July, 2026.
Appeal to the Public
With only 5 days remaining, the District Election Officer, East Jaintia Hills, appeals to all eligible electors to act immediately.
Electors who have not yet received or submitted their Enumeration Forms are requested to contact their respective Booth Level Officer (BLO) or visit the SIR Help Desk at the Office of the Deputy Commissioner without delay. Timely submission of the duly filled Enumeration Form along with the prescribed supporting documents is essential for ensuring an accurate and inclusive electoral roll.
The Administration also urges village authorities, community leaders, youth organisations, Self-Help Groups and all citizens to extend their cooperation and encourage every eligible elector to complete the process before the deadline.
