The Special Intensive Revision (SIR), 2026 in East Jaintia Hills District has entered its final phase with encouraging progress across all key parameters. As on 27th July, 2026 (3:57 PM), 1,03,960 Enumeration Forms have been distributed, achieving an overall coverage of 99.56% of the district’s 1,04,417 registered electors. A total of 93,681 Enumeration Forms (89.72%) have been digitized, while 93,672 forms (89.71%) have been verified by Booth Level Officers (BLOs).
The Assembly Constituency-wise progress is as follows:
- 5-Sutnga Saipung (ST) Assembly Constituency – 51,952 Enumeration Forms distributed (99.99%), 46,297 forms digitized (89.11%), and 46,296 forms verified (89.11%).
- 6-Khliehriat (ST) Assembly Constituency – 52,008 Enumeration Forms distributed (99.14%), 47,384 forms digitized (90.32%), and 47,376 forms verified (90.31%).

The district has also identified 5,676 uncollectable cases (5.44%) after due field verification, while 279 electors (0.27%) have ASD discrepancies requiring further attention. A total of 24,277 anomalies (23.25%) have been detected and are being addressed in accordance with the prescribed guidelines.
Appeal to the Public
With only 2 days remaining before the House-to-House Verification concludes on 29th July, 2026, the District Election Administration makes a final and urgent appeal to all eligible electors.
If you have not yet received or submitted your Enumeration Form, or if any member of your family has been missed, do not wait any longer. Contact your Booth Level Officer (BLO) immediately or visit the SIR Help Desk at the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, East Jaintia Hills District.
The District Election Officer also appeals to Dorbar Shnongs, Village Authorities, community leaders, youth organisations, Self-Help Groups and all responsible citizens to help spread this message and ensure that every eligible elector in their locality completes the process before the deadline.
