On the occasion of Independence Day, the Additional Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District, has informed that entry to Phan Nonglait Park and Ward’s Lake will be free for the public on 15th August, 2026.
At Ward’s Lake, programmes will start from 2:00 PM onwards as part of the Independence Day celebrations.
Additionally, free cinema shows will be screened at Anjalee Cinema and Bijou Cinema on 15th August, 2026 at 9:00 AM.
