
A free health camp was successfully organised by the Composite Regional Centre for Skill Development, Rehabilitation and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (CRCSRE), today at its premises at Dhankheti, Shillong. The camp provided various healthcare services including General Physician Consultation, ENT Specialist Consultation, Orthopaedic Consultation, Free Hearing Assessment and distribution of aids and appliances.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Ram Shakal Sahani, Director, CRCSRE-Shillong, who symbolically commenced the camp by undergoing a health check-up himself. Addressing the gathering, he emphasised the importance of preventive healthcare, timely diagnosis and regular health screening and encouraged participants to prioritise their overall well-being through routine medical check-ups.
The camp witnessed active participation from beneficiaries and members of the public. The programme was coordinated by Iness K. Warshong, Lecturer – Physiotherapy, and Kh. Thomson Aimol, Speech Therapist, whose dedicated efforts ensured the smooth and successful conduct of the programme.
The health camp reflects the continued efforts of CRCSRE-Shillong towards promoting accessible healthcare services, early intervention and community-based rehabilitation for persons with disabilities and the general public.
