A Case vide Khliehriat Women PS Case No. 48(12)2O20 U/s 376 (2) (f) IPC R/w Sec. 5 (j)(ii)/5(n)/6 of POCSO Act was registered at Khliehriat Women PS and investigated by WPI. O. Tyngkan. The accused involved in the case Shri. Jimi Bareh was arrested and Charge Sheet was filed against the accused vide Charge-Sheet No. 38/2021 Dated 18.11.2021 by the Investigating Officer.
After completion of trial, the Hon’ble Court of Smti. B. Khriam, Special Judge (POCSO), East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat has found Shri. Jimi Bareh guilty and convicted him under section 376(2) (f) IPC R/w Sec. 5 (j) (ii)/5(n)/6 POCSO Act, 2012.The Hon’ble Court has sentenced him to undergo “Rigorous Imprisonment (RI) for 22 (twenty-two) years with fine of ₹50, 000/- (Fifty Thousands only)” vide Order dated 21.07.2026.
