A devastating flash flood and mudslide occurred in Nepal on 26 August 2026, particularly in the Rasuwa district near the Nepal–Tibet border. The disaster caused extensive damage to villages, roads, bridges and other infrastructure, with a large number of people reported missing or uncontactable.
In view of the above, information is being sought regarding persons from Meghalaya who may be missing or uncontactable in Nepal.
