The Deputy Commissioner (Supply), East Jaintia Hills District, in a press release issued has informed the general public that in view of certain information being circulated regarding an alleged shortage of LPG, petrol and diesel in the district, it is clarified that as per the instruction received from the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India, there is presently no shortage of LPG, petrol or diesel in East Jaintia Hills District.
In this respect, the public is requested not to panic or engage in unnecessary hoarding of fuel and LPG commodities.
Further, any individual, dealer or agency found indulging in illegal activities such as black marketing, hoarding or overcharging will be dealt strictly as per the provisions of law, added the Deputy Commissioner (Supply), East Jaintia Hills District.
