This is for information of the general public that the North East India Infrastructure Summit & Exhibition, 2026 is scheduled to be held on 15th and 16th June 2026 at LARITI, Mawkasiang and SRGT Parking Lot, Polo, Shillong. The event is expected to witness the presence of Hon’ble Union Ministers of India along with other VVIPs and participation of dignitaries, delegates, exhibitors and visitors from across the North Eastern Region and other parts of the country.
In view of the movement of official convoys around Umsawli — Mawkasiang — NEIGRIHMS —Polo during the summit period and to ensure smooth conduct of the event, the general public intending to travel from Umsawli, Mawkasiang, NEIGRIHMS and Nongmensong towards Polo are advised and requested to use the alternate routes via Mawpat — Golflinks / Langkyrding — Pynthorumkhrah to avoid delays and ease traffic management.
Furthermore, to facilitate the movement of vehicular traffic around Polo agglomeration, following traffic regulations has been drawn for 15th June, 2026:
- ‘NO ENTRY’ at Lumjingshai junction for vehicles wanting to proceed towards Forest Colony. They will be diverted towards Lawmali — Polo and beyond.
- ‘NO ENTRY’ at Lumjingshai junction for vehicles wanting to proceed towards CRPF junction. They will be diverted towards Lawmali — Polo and beyond.
