The Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department has issued a notification regarding the constitution of the Selection Committee for the Meghalaya State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission.
According to the notification, NO.SUP.24/2021/1579, in supersession to the Department’s Notification NO.SUP.38/2012/358 dated 05.02.2021 and in pursuance of Section 6(1) of the Consumer Protection (Qualification for Appointment, and Members of the State Commission and District Commission) Rules, 2020, framed under Sections 29 and 41 of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the Governor of Meghalaya is pleased to notify Hon’ble Mr. Justice H. S. Thangkhiew, Judge, High Court of Meghalaya to act as Chairman of the Selection Committee of the Meghalaya State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission for the selection of Members of the State Commission and District Commissions.
