The Secretary, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), East Jaintia Hills District has informed the public that a Special Cell has been established at Uttaranchal University, Dehradun for students from the North-Eastern States studying at the University, with the objective of providing legal assistance, guidance and institutional support.
The initiative was taken by the Uttarakhand State Legal Services Authority (UKSLSA), with the matter being discussed during the 24th Annual General Meeting of the Authority held on 21st July, 2026.
The Special Cell is intended to help students from the North-Eastern States studying at Uttarakhand become aware of the legal assistance, counselling and other support services available to them. Students can avail themselves of the facility whenever they require legal guidance or institutional support.
