On 24th August, 2026, based on specific information regarding suspected stolen motor cycles, a naka team of Amlarem PS intercepted two motor cycles at Ladjaplem B/R No. AS-01FK 3482 and AS- 26A 9873 ridden by Shri. Pynshngai Jyrwa 23yrs S/o Smt. Rita Jyrwa R/o Umsning, Lasharai, Mawkhan, Ri-Bhoi District and Shri. Rijiedstar Shylla 27yrs S/o Shri. Medios Lakhiat R/o Umsning, Sohkyndur, Ri-Bhoi District.
During verification, the two motor cycles were found to have been reported stolen from Changsari, Assam, in which a case under Section 303 (2) BNS has been registered.
On 25th August, 2026, both motor cycles and the persons apprehended were handed over to Changsari Police Station, Assam for further necessary legal action.
Further, on the same day (24th August, 2026), two more suspected stolen motor cycles B/R No. NL-07EB 8467 and AS- 05S 3378 with two riders were intercepted by a team of Dawki PS. In this connection, both the motor cycles are being kept at Dawki PS for further verification.
The District Police urge the public to remain vigil and ensure that their vehicles are properly secured. Any suspicious activity may be reported to the nearest Police Unit or through Dialing 112.
